Did you know...

...that the Miraculous Medal was originally called the Medal of the Immaculate Conception? Because there were so many miracles attached to wearing the medal and praying to Our Lady under her title of The Immaculate Conception, the medal became commonly known as the Miraculous Medal. It is known as such to this day. Are you wearing your Miraculous Medal? As a Daughter of Charity living at the turn of the century, Sister Marie learned about the Miraculous Medal along with all her sisters only years after it was revealed to St. Catherine Laboure in 1830! It is certain that, like all Daughters of Charity, Sister Marie wore her medal with great love and devotion to Our Lady. Learn more about the medal and Our Lady at the link at the left that directs you to the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal in Paris, France.

Happy Feast of the Immaculate Conception!

Oh Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to thee.
Amen.
