" I am not a priest and cannot bless them, but all that the heart of a mother can ask of God for her children, I ask of Him and will never cease to ask Him." ~ Sister Marie

"I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all your wonderful deeds." Psalm 9:1

.
The testimonies of the intercessory power of Sister Marie continue to be proclaimed! I write this today to plead with you and encourage you as you write your beautiful thanksgiving testimonies.

We know that God has no need of our thanksgiving but our desire to thank Him gives Him great joy. God also does not need us to accomplish His will, but He often invites us to participate in its accomplishment. This invitation is a great gift to us! He desires to hear our "fiat" but he respects our free will...which in turn makes our heartfelt "fiat" all the more pleasing to Him! He receives His thanksgiving when we respond with our whole heart and then witness to His gifts with our words and deeds.

As a young girl I was taught something that has stayed with me all my life. It is this: The greatest way to offer gratitude for a gift is to receive and use a gift according to the mind and heart of the giver. This makes sense on the natural level but also in the spiritual realm as well. God gives us abundant gifts and, along with our heartfelt prayers of thanksgiving, we may show our thanks to Him by using these gifts for His glory and according to His intention.

With joyful hearts let us write our testimonies in gratitude for the gifts and favors God has given us through the intercession of Sister Marie. God could choose to give us gifts in any number of ways but if He indeed chooses to answer prayers specifically through the intercession of a soul for whom we are praying for beatification, we can rest assured that it is His will that this be known! If we asked God for a favor specifically through Sister Marie's intercession and He answers our prayer, God has done this for a reason. His intention is for us to know how He is blessing her intercessory power.

How can you thank God for His gifts according to His intentions? You can thank God by making His loving gifts known! This will give Him great glory! Let us be sure to "recount all [His] wonderful deeds" (Psalm 9:1) with our own words and deeds.

Sometimes we may be tempted to think that it is a more humble stance to remain quiet in our thanksgiving so as not to bring any attention to ourselves. But let's remember that true humility is nothing more or less than witnessing to the truth: our misery and God's omnipotent glory. Witnessing to His goodness as our Creator, we as His creatures give Him honor and glorify. Our witness shows our understanding that He alone deserves all the glory because He alone does marvelous things. True humility testifies to the truth; gives God all glory; raises Him up so we may hide in His shadow. How can we testify to the truth and give God glory if we hide His gifts under a bushel basket? Writing our testimonies, gathering witnesses and evidence, obtaining notarization may be a time consuming, frustrating, laborious task, but it certainly is only a small inconvenience to suffer for the glory of God!
