Kansas City! 1.19

We have arrived.  Kansas City is very pretty and becoming very white!  We had an uneventful flight; the best kind.  However, looks like we brought the snow with us.  They are expecting 6-10 inches tonight!  All the city is dressed in white for Sister Marie.  If I squint a bit and preen my neck to the left I have a snow-blurry view of the beautiful gold domed Immaculate Conception Cathedral from my room window where Friday night the initial step for the opening of the investigation into the cause for Sister Marie will take place.  Bishop Finn called to welcome us to his Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph.  God bless him.  More later...and hopefully some better photos too.  We carry you all and your intentions in our hearts.  We can't stop smiling!

It does not escape me that the date we arrive to open the Cause  is 1/19.  The very same date I learned of Sr. Marie six years earlier…and all the implications this reverse of 9/11 could and would mean.

a spark and a star...

Pope John Paul II will be beatified on May 1st. We know this is the Feast of St. Joseph but it is also Divine Mercy Sunday this year and the "spark from Poland" foretold by St. Faustina in her diary Divine Mercy in My Soul will ignite the faith of many souls to trust the the Mercy of Jesus.

We Thank God!

A message from Erin von Uffel
President of the Sr. Marie de Mandat-Grancey Foundation

It is now only days away until the status of Sr. Marie de Mandat-Grancey, DC will change forever in the eyes of the Catholic Church. On January 21, 2011 an official ceremony to initiate an Investigation into the life of Sr. Marie de Mandat-Grancey will be opened by Bishop Robert Finn of Kansas City –St.Joseph Diocese. The Immaculate Conception Church at 6 PM will be welcoming people from near and afar. We will not know what the last step of this the process will be for Sr. Marie de Mandat-Grancey, but we do know God arranges all things, in His time, for His purpose.

Mother of God

Mother of God, the highest of all titles by which Our Lady has been crowned, comes to us from Ephesus 1380 years ago in the year 431 AD.  To teach once and for all that Jesus was both human and divine, the First Council of Ephesus attended by the Oriental Orthodox, the Eastern Orthodox, the Roman Catholics, and a number of other Western Christian groups and held at the Church of Mary, proclaimed  Mary Theotokos, Mother of God.
